We got back yesterday from Trek. What a crazy trip it was. It rained...well poured almost the whole time. Tarps were set up, rain was our lullaby, fires were mostly non-existant, and I love my staff.
The forrest here is so much different than home but there are still moments of surrender and people open up and connect on a different level when they are taken away from the comforts of their home. I feel so blessed to have these students in my building. Some amazing leaders with incredible potential for this year. And this was just the beginning. I have four amazing women that I can't wait to share this coming experience with and 5 amazing men who share our building. And I know that we have already struck gold with these students.
Along with all that I don't know if I have been more shocked about the things that happened on this trip. From rain to funny moments God totally blessed us with amazing memories. What a funny year this will be. I cant wait.
As for now I'll sit in my apartment and rest my sore feet and drink my coffee and plan for our coming week of training. I'll miss home a little more than usual today...funny how the forrest can do that.
