Over time I've collected numerous nicknames. Some stick longer than others. Some, more funny than others. But all the same they are always there waiting to be used. There are the ones like 'Amber Bamber' and 'Ber' that are like reliving childhood and so nostalgic when I hear them...my mind races back to playing in the turtle sandbox and in the mud. To what seemed like huge mountains of snow and summer popsicles after broccoli and cheese. Then there are some like 'Am' which is the longest running nickname going from childhood, through middle school with friends, up until college which always is endearing to me when people use it. Then there are the ones that are specific to certain people. Like Dubs from Tyler, Amberguesa from Johnny B. Ams from the girls. Babes from Colleen.
Always they've all been so endearing and I just feel so at home when I hear them.
