Coffee Adventure.

I sit in the corner of this old, oddly decorated coffee shop listening to the different array of musical talent that keeps switching as the mic becomes open.  And I can't help but think of all the people who might be here with me.  The people who would've joined me on this adventure.  Here's some I'll share with you...

If Aaron were with me, we would've stepped inside and he would've looked at me and told me I was eccentric and how in this coffee shop, he doesn't fit in.  I would convince him that you dont need to fit in at a coffee shop...thats part of the beauty of them.  We would stay because we never quit an adventure or end it too soon because there's usually always more to see.  We would order our drinks and sit and talk about all kinds of different things and chances are we would probably witness some very strange people, only because it always seems to happen that way when we go on adventures.

If Kati were there we would walk in and she would love it immediately.  She would order her coffee in a house cup with the intention of staying for hours.  She would love the music and the people and we would meet so many of them.  Talk about funny things, serious things and we would leave the night feeling like that was the best three bucks we ever spent on a cup of coffee even if it didn't taste the best.

Rachel would be so excited the whole time and we would walk in, sit, and talk about life and soak in everything while the whole time while I wait for her to burst.  Because every new adventure with Rachel comes with the amount of excitement where if one didn't know any better, you'd think she'd never seen outside before.

My friend Becca would be the one who would come with journal in hand and we would simply sit and listen and write together cause there's really no need for anything else.

Moments like these make me miss the people I care for so much.  But more so I'm learning to appreciate every little moment with them...even when they're not physically present.
