It amazes me that a year ago I was crying like a baby when my only sister and best playmate in life walked down the isle. I can tell you that watching my favorite sister get married was easily the best moment of my life. And yes, i'll admit I'm crying right now as I write, I'm a sap what can I say.
To watch two people make a choice to share life together is one thing but when you're the baby sister of one of those people and have taken care of your quiet, so full of life, spontaneous, word loving, travel extraordinare sister for a good chunk of childhood, ffffeeeeewwww, that hits a special place in your heart.
You see my sister might be the oldest but if you've ever met the two of us together you know I am the classic younger sibling. Loud, attention seeking, honest and up front, I love being funny and when people laugh it fuels my fire. My sister on the other hand is the opposite of all those things. Really, God did a pretty amazing hob pairing us together. She is gentle and kind spirited, so incredibly artistic and doesn't need to be the center of attention. Really, all should feel sorry for my parents when I came cause before me their life must have been more peaceful and less strange.
So naturally when my sister tells me about this James character I naturally needed to have a chat. So on the floor of my sisters closet, locked in and on the phone with James I did what I do best and made sure this yoohoo wasn't playing the wrong game. Well I can tell you that James, who became fondly known as Kensington, is one of my favorite people. And selfishly I LOVE that I have a brother. I've really always wanted one but as I mentioned before, my poor parents probably made the best decision after I came along.
Today is their 1 year anniversary and I've only teared up a couple times, full of joy for two of people I love most. Happy anniversary to you, I am amazed at how you live life with each other and love that I get to be apart of it.
