4 in the morning conversation

I took my friend Aaron to the airport the other morning.  At 4am. Yes it was early.  Yes is was funny.  But it was so wonderful.  Just quiet.  You see, there are people in life you just feel good being around, those kind of people who don't require anything really.  You could just sit a whole afternoon with them and be totally content.  Aaron is one of those.  He is just such a great friend and I don't know how I would have made it through these last 12 months without his advice, opinions, heart, and spontaneity.  As we drove I just thought about how weird it was that we are graduated and he was going home to work and Illinois.  And I would drive back to Glendora and we would each be doing our own things.  As we drove we talked a little about real life things and I know there will be more of that.  But my favorite part was just being in the same car, driving at 4am, with someone who is just comfortable.  And the best part about that is that he is consistent.  I know he'll call and I know he'll answer and our lives will continue to be mixed together because of friendship.  What a beautiful thing it is.  I hope everyone has friendships in life like that.  What a shame it would be to not.
